Frequently Asked Questions
-
In most cases involving road or footpath impacts, yes. A TMP is required for works on Department of State Growth roads, on council-managed roads where the works affect traffic flow, and for construction projects where planning or building permit conditions specify one.
-
Every Tasmanian council requires a TMP when works affect a council-managed road, footpath or road reserve. Hobart, Launceston, Devonport, Burnie, Clarence and Glenorchy handle most metropolitan submissions. Regional councils have similar requirements with simpler submission formats.
-
Four business hours from confirmed payment is our guarantee. Most Tasmanian clients submitting before midday receive a draft the same day. Complex multi-stage projects or remote-site works may extend to one or two business days.
-
The technical framework is the same — both states use AGTTM as the national standard. What differs is the responsible authority (Department of State Growth in Tasmania, Department of Transport and Planning in Victoria) and the submission format.
